Lavinia Hur was born in a small northern town called Colne in Lancashire. She was brought up by a single parent and told on many occasions to go and draw. She had a fascination with black and white drawings and figuring out how light casted shadows. As a child she was criticised for not using colour, so she stopped drawing, as she always spoiled her drawings. Then in lock down she was working in the NHS and after her shift she started to draw. Her friends from work and other people realised she had an unusual skill and so  began her journey. as a respect to her parents, she took the name of  Lavinia Hur. www.art.lavina.hur was born in 2020
